Test Appliance

You test the appliance to verify that the configuration works as planned. The final question to ask yourself is does the appliance work as it should without human intervention. That is the hallmark of a good catalog class appliance.

Follow these steps:

1. In the Infrastructure Editor, select the appliance and click the Start icon.

   The Start Application window displays.

2. Select Enable Advanced Options and Debug Mode and click Start Application.

   On the appliance, the start indicator displays.

   When the appliance starts, the green running indicator displays.

3. If the appliance fails to start, view the error details or log files for insight in to the issue.

   To view error details, click Yes in the Prompt dialog. The details display in the dynamic canvas.

   To view the complete set of logs, select the Logs tab. The set of log files display.

4. Troubleshoot the issue.
5. Repeat these steps until the appliance starts.
