Starting an Application

You can start an application the following ways:

Start an Application from the Application List Page
  1. Select the application, and do one of the following:

    A dialog appears for you to enable advanced options.

  2. If you want to enable advanced options, click the checkbox and select the options you want.
  3. Click Start Application.
Start an Application from the Infrastructure Editor
  1. Double-click the application to open it in the Infrastructure Editor and do one of the following:

    A dialog appears for you to enable advanced options.

  2. If you want to enable advanced options, click the checkbox and select the options you want.
  3. Click Start Application.
Start Application Dialog Advanced Options

Use this dialog to set the following options:

Scheduling

Select Pack (Default) to schedule appliances on the server with the least amount of available resources.

Select Round Robin to schedule the first appliance on the first server, and then assign the remaining appliances to other servers using round robin.

Select Round Robin Random Start to randomly schedule the first appliance to a server, and then assign the remaining appliances to other servers using round robin.

Debug Mode

Click to start application in debug mode. If this option is specified and the application has field engineering code 16 set, the start will fail.

CPU Capping

Click to enable the capping of the CPU for all application components.
