Importing Applications
An application can be imported from the controller's import/export volume or from a remote HTTP server
To import an application from the controller's import/export volume:
- Pick a unique name for the new application (for example, myappnew)
- Transfer the application archive to the exchange directory on the Grid controller where the application is to be installed: scp -r ./myapp controllerhost:/vol/_impex.
- Import the application app import myappnew myapp. See app import command for details.
To import an application from a remote HTTP server
- From the application list page, right-click and select Import Application from the context menu.
- Click the Import from URL radial button and enter the URL path, the name of the new application, and optionally any required authentication parameters (that is, user name and password).
- Click the Next button.
You will now see the application import progress.
When the import operation has completed, you can configure and start the application as you would any other application.
