Configure the Integration with the LDAP Server

The BFC administration functionality enables you to configure an external LDAP server to authenticate global system users.

Follow these steps:

1. Click Administration on the left menu.

   The Administration page appears.

2. Click the Authentication tab.

   The Authentication page appears.

3. Click the Enable LDAP Configuration check box.
4. Enter the following information in the appropriate field:

   LDAP Server Name or IP

   Specifies the name or the IP address of the LDAP server.

   LDAP Port Number

   Specifies the listening port of the LDAP server.

   User DN

   Specifies the unique distinguished name. For example: ou=Users,ou=San Francisco,dc=ca,dc=com

5. Complete one or both of the following tasks:
   • Create a new user that uses LDAP for authentication.
   • Edit an existing user to use LDAP for authentication.
