Install OS from iso
You can install a Linux or Windows operating system in an appliance.
To begin:
- Identify the operating system as Linux or Windows and mode as 32-bit or 64-bit.
- Identify the virtualization mode as Xen_Paravirtualized or Xen Hardware Emulation.
- Verify the maximum number of terminals available, based on the operating system and virtualization mode.
- Verify the PV drivers that are based on the operating system. For example, Linux uses Xen or ESX.
Windows uses Halsign TurboGate PV drivers, which are distributed with CA AppLogic and area accessible through the appliance default interface and are identical to the Windows MSI used to create Windows appliances. These drivers are used to enhance the disk and network I/O performance of a Windows appliance.
- Select from the various filer file systems available for each operating system
CA AppLogic supports a maximum of 50 Xen appliances per server and 1024 volumes per server. Only 255 volumes can be mounted or in-user on a single server at one time.
Follow these steps:
- Identify your appliance.
- Access the OS Installations section.
- Select your operating system.
- Begin the installation procedure.
