AppLogic provides tools that assist in creating your Windows appliances. In addition, you can use appliances with similar functionality, generic appliances, or appliances provided by your service provider.
The Windows Server appliance is the base appliance used to create all other Windows-based appliances. The Windows Server appliance should be created first before any other Windows appliance, except the Windows 2008 Filer.

IIS08yx4 and IIS08yx8 includes references to /system_ms:IIS08y.
If the system_ms catalog is installed on your grid and any /system_ms:IIS08y appliances are missing, the Infrastructure Editor displays an error message each time an application is opened. To resolve this issue, either create all the /system_ms:IIS08y appliances or remove the unused IIS08x4 or IIS08yx8 appliances from the system_ms catalog.
