Recover From a Replicated Database

During installation, you can select to create a replica database. You can also create the replica database using the database replication feature on the Administration page of the BFC. The replica database is synchronized in real time with your production database, and can be used to restore the BFC on a new machine, due to hardware failure, disaster, or any other reason.

To ensure the recovery from your replicated database is possible, review the notes in the topic General Considerations for Creating and Recovering a Replica Database.

Follow these steps:

Important! Before you start the recovery procedure, ensure that the CA AppLogic Version download directory is configured in exact state as it was when the BFC was in the running state. For example, if your version download directory path was /var/applogic and it contained CA AppLogic versions 3.5.x, 3.1.y, 3.0.z; you must ensure that the version download directory still contains the same three CA AppLogic versions in the same path prior to starting the recovery procedure.
