Interfaces Tab

Use features on the Interfaces tab to associate external interfaces with network resources. Each row lists a connection name for which you can define a network and IP address by working with the dropdown menus.

Name

Specifies the interface name. You can edit this text field by clicking in the cell and typing a different name.

Network

Specifies the network to use for the interface. Click inside the cell to open a drop-down menu that lists the available network choices. Alternatively, you can select the blank drop-down menu and enter an IP address as typed text.

IP Address

Specifies the IP address to use for the interface. Click inside the cell to open a drop-down menu that lists the available IP addresses. Note: This menu is limited to 256 items. If more than 256 IP addresses are configured for a selected network, this field becomes a text input field and you must enter the IP address as typed text. Use the Info tooltip to display the available ranges of IP addresses for the selected network.

Info

Lists information about the interface, for example the prefix, gateway, and name servers.
