When &VOLUME_SELECTION_BY_LEAST_FREESPACE is set to Y, all volumes in the primary Storage Group (SG) are checked. The one with the least available freespace that supports the allocation request is chosen. The largest available freespace extents are left on the volumes in the SG to satisfy future large allocation requests.
