View Epic Hierarchies

The Epic Hierarchy page displays epics with the user stories and tasks that have been linked to the epic.

Click Epic Hierarchy from the Planning menu to display the backlog as a hierarchy. The hierarchy view displays the following items for the selected product:

• Epics at the topmost level.
• User stories at the next level.
• Tasks at the lowest level.

At the highest level, you can view the following information for all epics and user stories:

• ID and title
• Priority
• Points
• Assignee
• Type (epic or user story)
• Status

You can perform the following tasks from the Epic Hierarchy view:

• Click the title link to view epic, user story, or task details.
• Create epics and right-click to create user stories and tasks.
• Expand epics to view associated user stories and their assigned sprint and release.
• Expand user stories to view associated tasks and their status, team, estimated and remaining hours.
• Edit epics, user stories, and tasks.
