Linux rh6 Uninstallation Points to Wrong Location of Log Files

Symptom:

When Linux rh6 CA Risk Authentication is uninstalled, it points to wrong location of uninstall log file.

Run the CA Risk Authentication uninstallation from uninstall directory (/tmp/arcot/Uninstall_CA Risk Authentication).

Note: This is not the recommended location to run uninstallation, so it is a user error.

The uninstallation will generate a warning as it cannot remove the Uninstall directory. It then gives the following message and points you to the wrong location of the uninstall log file:

The uninstallation of CA Risk Authentication 8.0.0.0 is complete, but some warnings occurred during the uninstall. Please see the uninstallation log for details in /tmp/arcot/logs.

The log file is not at this location, instead it is located at :/tmp

Solution:

The Uninstall log file is found under <Installation Directory> but not under <Installation Directory/arcot/logs>.
