To enable SSL communication between the CA AuthMinder components, you first obtain server and client certificates. You can obtain these certificates by using one of the following methods:
When a CA generates a certificate for you (as discussed in the section, Directly Through a Certificate Authority (CA), they also generate the private key that is associated with the certificate. As a result, the private key may not be as secure as when it is generated at your site. If you do not want the key to be generated "off site", then follow the steps that are described in Generate Certificate Request Using a Utility.
