Monitoring Performance

After you establish policies to protect the nodes in your environment, you can log into CA Recovery Point Server to check performance.

Follow these steps:

  1. From the CA Recovery Point Server screen, expand All Nodes under the Groups list.
  2. Click the node whose performance you want to monitor.

The dashboard for the server you specified opens.

  3. You can view the following information:
    Job Monitor

Shows the status of currently running jobs. If no job is running, status is Idle. Click Job Status to open the Job Queue and Job Log screen.

    Policies

For the policy used by the server you specified, shows the data store, replication path and a disk space indicator. Click Detail to view the policy settings.

    Data Stores

For each data store used in the policy, shows the path and options enabled or disabled for that data store instance. It also shows a disk space indicator. Click Detail to view a graph that shows data store space allocations.

    Most Recent Events

Shows the status of the last job to run including the job type, schedule, and client name.

  4. Close the dashboard when you are finished monitoring performance for this server.

Note: Click View Logs for a selected server to open the Activity Log.
