General Guidelines

The general guidelines for backup and restore operations involving Pervasive SQL 11.3 databases are as follows:

• Protects the Pervasive SQL database on Windows x86 and x64 systems.
• Pervasive SQL databases that are backed up with the Pervasive SQL VSS Writer must also be restored with the Pervasive SQL VSS Writer.
• All Pervasive SQL consoles, for example, Pervasive Control Center, must be closed before a restore job starts, otherwise a warning message is displayed to reboot.
