Restore by Tree

Restore by Tree displays the state of a machine based on its last full backup, and all subsequent differential and incremental backups.

To restore data by tree, perform the following procedure:

1. Select Restore by Tree from the Source View drop-down list.

   The browser displays a machine tree of the networks and machines that have been backed up by CA ARCserve Backup.

2. Select the files you want to restore from the List View on the right.

   Restore by Tree displays the state of a machine based on its last full backup and all subsequent differentials and incrementals. To view earlier versions of an item you wish to restore, click Version History. This displays all backups of that item and allows you to select which version you want displayed in the restore by tree view.
