Reason
The length for a character string update was negative. This is a programming error. The <field> is the name of the field you specified.
Action
If you were executing a CA ACF2 for z/VM‑supplied program or command, contact CA Support. If you were executing a site‑written program, the most likely cause is a storage overlay of the ARE buffer. Correct the program and try again. If you still cannot solve the problem, contact CA Support.
