There are individual resource names in each resource type code, each one unique from others of the same type code. Each name identifies an actual resource to be protected through a resource rule. Resources can have names from 1‑ to
40‑characters long. The length of the resource name depends on the application. For example, CA ACF2 for VM‑defined resource names for the type codes are generally one‑ to eight‑characters long.
