The CADB2SY0 component preprocesses SMF records and creates input for the CADB2SY1 component. It scans SMF and extracts only those records that contain information about changed logonids or CA ACF2 Option for DB2 rules. Use of this component is optional, however, if you are running an incremental synchronization against each DB2 subsystem, the CADB2SY0 component can reduce the time spent processing SMF. SMF files are typically quite large and this job enables you to read through these files once, extract data, and share it with multiple jobs.
