What Do You Need?

The number of components you use, or jobs you run, depends on the type of synchronization you want to perform. Synchronizing only changes made during the day (incremental) for a DB2 subsystem, you must use three or all four components: CADB2SY0, CADB2SY1, CADB2SY2, CADB2SY3. The CADB2SY0 component is optional. It is used when synchronizing multiple DB2 subsystems.

Selectively synchronizing (specific resources or users) security information for a DB2 subsystem requires two of the components: CADB2SY2 and CADB2SY3. The utility cross‑references user and authorization information for selected users and resources in the CA ACF2 Infostorage database with DB2 resources in the DB2 catalog. Using this information, the utility synchronizes the DB2 subsystem’s catalog with CA ACF2 Option for DB2 security information.
