Type information at the command line according to the following field descriptions:
Identify the resource name ($KEY) of the rule set that you want to process.
Specify the resource type for this rule set. (For example, TBL represents tables or views, DBS represents databases, and PLN represents application plans.)
Enter the DB2 subsystem or group of subsystems that this rule set applies to. You cannot specify masking characters in this field to retrieve multiple rule sets.
Specify YES (the default) to tell CA ACF2 Option for DB2 to locate and decompile the rule set that matches the $KEY, TYPE, and SYSID fields into a data set member for editing.
If the rule set does not exist in Infostorage, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 places you in ISPF Edit to let you create a new rule set. If the rule set exists, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 decompiles the rule set into the data set member identified by the ISPF LIBRARY DATA SET field or the OTHER PARTITIONED DATA SET (INCLUDE MEMBER NAME) field and places you in ISPF Edit. If the data set member already exists, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 overlays any existing data with the rule set from Infostorage. If the data set member does not exist, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 creates a new member. A partitioned data set must exist before you can decompile the rule into it.
Specify NO if you want to edit the data set member that contains the rule set without decompiling the rule set from Infostorage into the data set. If CA ACF2 Option for DB2 cannot find a data set member name identical to the MEMBER field or the member specified in the OTHER PARTITIONED DATA SET field, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 creates a data set member with that name and places you in ISPF Edit. CA ACF2 Option for DB2 ignores the SYSID and TYPE fields.
If you press PF3 when you have made no changes, you exit to the CA ACF2 Option for DB2 Rule Processor panel. To continue to the next panel when you have made no changes, enter SAVE, then press PF3.
Identify the high‑level index of the data set name where the rule set is stored.
Enter the library of the data set where the rule set is stored.
Specify the type of data set where the rule set is stored.
Name the member where the rule set is stored.
Identify the data set name where the rule set is stored. Use this field to override the data set name specified by the PROJECT, LIBRARY, TYPE, and MEMBER fields. You can enter any fully qualified data set name by surrounding it with single quotation marks. If you omit the quotation marks, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 appends your logonid as the initial qualifier in the data set name.
Specify YES if you want to clear the in‑storage list of CA ACF2 Option for DB2 rules from a user's address space. Subsequent access requests reference the new rule set.
Specify YES if you want to delete the rule set specified in the $KEY field from the Infostorage database.
Specify YES if you want to replace the rule set that exists in the Infostorage database with the new rule set. Specify NO if you do not want the existing rule set replaced.
After you enter the above information and press ENTER, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 displays the contents of the data set member. After you enter or change the rule set, press END or PF3. The following prompt appears:
To store the rule in the Infostorage database, enter Y. CA ACF2 Option for DB2 then compiles the rule set and stores it in the Infostorage database. If you enter N, CA ACF2 Option for DB2 does not update the Infostorage database. It does, however, update the data set member with the new or changed rule set.
