Summarizing CA ACF2 Option for DB2 Rule Creation and Modification
You can create CA ACF2 Option for DB2 rule sets directly from the terminal, or you can first load the rule set in a data set. Here is the procedure:
- When creating a rule set that does not already exist, you can build it in a partitioned data set member. You can also create the rule set in TSO with the COMPILE command (see step 4 below). When changing a rule that already exists on the database, you can decompile the rule into a partitioned data set member. You can then make appropriate changes and continue with the steps.
- From TSO READY mode, enter the ACF command.
ACF
- With the ACF command active, establish the CA ACF2 Option for DB2 rule setting for the particular resource that you want to write rules to protect:
SET DB2(typecode)
- Compile the CA ACF2 Option for DB2 rule set.
- To save the CA ACF2 Option for DB2 rule set in the Infostorage database, enter the STORE command.
STORE
- If the rule set is to be resident in memory, enter this operator command to dynamically reload the new rule set.
F ACF2,REBUILD(typecode),CLASS(D)
The typecode represents the type of DB2 resource that the rule set protects. If you do not issue this command, the rule is made resident the next time you IPL your z/OS system or stop and start CA ACF2.
