How Do You Maintain DB2 Infostorage Records?

Because security information for CA ACF2 Option for DB2 resources exists as records in the CA ACF2 Infostorage database, you process DB2 records as you would Global System Option (GSO) records—by using the ACF command or ISPF panels. This section explains how to define resources using the ACF command through TSO or using ISPF panels. To use the ACFBATCH utility, see the CA ACF2 Reports and Utilities Guide.

With the ACF command or the ISPF panels, you can:

• Set the command setting for the CA ACF2 session
• List a DB2 record’s fields and values
• Insert a new DB2 record and specify its fields
• Change the field values in an existing DB2 record
• Delete an existing DB2 record.

To use the ACF command with CA ACF2 Option for DB2, you must use the SET subcommand to establish the CONTROL(DB2) setting before you can execute any of the above subcommands with DB2 records. This section uses the command notation explained in the About This Guide section.
