Removing a Server from a Grid
Assume your grid has 5 servers with SLA – 5/5/5 (minimum/target/maximum). If you want to remove a server from the grid, follow the procedure below:
- In Grid properties – Configuration tab, change the value of minimum to 4.
- From grid 3t shell run the command:
3t srv disable srv<n> where n in the server number that you want to remove from the grid.
Note: this step is optional if you select the Force Removal check box in the follwoing step.
- From the BFC UI - In Grid properties, under Servers tab – select the server and choose Remove from the Server Actions drop down box.
- Select the Quarantine check box if you want to ensure that the server should not be picked up by any other grid.
- Select the Force Removal check box to remove servers that are not disabled in AppLogic.
