net_discover Command (Grid Control)--Initiate network topology discovery for the grid

Initiate network topology discovery for the grid as a whole.

Syntax

grid net_discover    

Example

grid net_discover  

Initiate network topology discovery for the grid as a whole.

Notes:

• You must be a grid maintainer to execute this command.
• This command is an alias for server net_discover –all.
• This operation results in CA 3Tera AppLogic discovering which switch is connected to each network interface for each of the grid servers and for which network (backbone or external) each interface is wired.
• It is useful to run this command following the replacement of a failed switch or after swapping network cables for one or more servers.
• This operation does not cause any network interruption.
• This command is valid only on Xen grids.
