MGT Implementation Details
Application Architecture
This is a reference design for the Metering Gateway Application
It has the following components:
- one firewalled input gateway with SSL support (INSSLR)
- a Metering Gateway Server (MGT)
- firewalled output gateway to CA's central metering server (NET)
- a data storage appliance (NAS)
The application infrastructure is shown below:
Application Volumes
The MGT application has the following volumes:

Shared file system holding metering data. This volume is configured as the data volume of the NAS appliance.

Notes:
- MGT does not provide support for local queries over the metering data (for example, meter dump). If a customer needs to query their metering data, they must access CA's metering system directly.
MGT is designed to run on CA 3Tera AppLogic 2.4.x+.
