Granting Grid Access

User access to grids is accomplished by pushing SSH keys out to the grids using the Manage Grid SSH keys feature in the BFC. There are two keys in the /root/.ssh/authorized_keys file and they are both named "<random text>root@<bfc host>”. See the following examples for the key names.

  • Key 1 Name Example

To add or replace SSH keys for a grid, perform the following:

  1. Select Grids from the left Menu.

The Grids page appears. The state of the grid can be running, stopped, failed, failed - running (grid create failed but left the servers running), needs attention, and requires reboot.

  2. Select the checkbox next to the desired grid name.
  3. Select Manage SSH Keys from the Grid Actions drop-down list.

The Manage Grid SSH Keys dialog appears.

  4. Indicate if you want to add or replace the grid SSH keys.
  5. Click the Browse button to locate and select the SSH key file, which may contain more than one key. Note: The key must be in OpenSSH format, not putty format.
  6. Click the Push Keys button to push the key to the grid.
