Parameter Definitions
Two optional parameters are available for use with TMSVMUPD:
Specifies the date format to be printed on TMS Report 26. The date pattern indicated by (fmt) is limited to 10 bytes and must be enclosed in parentheses. This parameter is optional. For more information on valid date formats, see Overriding the Preferred Date Pattern.
Is used only when testing the Vault Management System. When PARM=TEST is specified, it suppresses actual updates to the TMC but still generates TMS Report 26 to show the updates that would have taken place. This parameter is optional.
Note: When TEST is used, do not move the tapes.
Completion Codes
Possible completion codes and their meanings are listed below.
Successful completion
Unable to update a TMC record. This condition code is issued, for example, if the data set name in the TMC record is different from that in the vaulting record created by TMSVMVLT. Information about the error is written to TMS Report 26. Processing continues for all other updates.
Important! If you receive a Completion Code of 12, at least one update has not been made for a volume that will be listed in the picking, distribution, and inventory reports.
