TMSPULL Utility—Produce Library Pull and Setup Lists

Use the TMSPULL utility to prestage (set up) tape librarian jobs ahead of time.

The CA 1 prestaging facility is designed to aid in this task. A partitioned data set (PDS) can be created which contains the required information to selectively pull tapes by job or by shift.

Information for each job must be furnished to this program through a PDS with the job name as the member name. Each member contains the data sets to be pulled for that job, the shift it normally runs on, and the cart on which the tapes should be placed.

CA 1 must be active or batch active to run TMSPULL. TMSPULL can be run with CA 1 inactive only if you are using the system catalog for input (PARM=OSCATLG).
