TMSINITD is called by TMSINIT during initialization to read the TMOSCRxx and TMONSMxx members from hlq.CTAPOPTN. It validates these members and produces Type 5 Audit records showing hlq.CTAPOPTN contents.
TMSINITD also verifies the syntax of the members and flags any errors. The internal forms of the members are returned to TMSINIT, which generates TMS Report 00 - Initialization Report. This report describes the contents of the hlq.CTAPOPTN members used during initialization. If presented with empty members, the completion code is set to eight.
TMSINITD may also be run in batch mode to edit the control statements for the Scratch Subpool Table and the Nonspecific Mount Rules Table. The control statements are read and edited just as they would be during initialization, but the status of existing tables in CA 1 is not affected. TMS Report 53 - TMSINITD Batch Report shows the control statements and any error messages.
CA 1 may be active, batch active, or inactive to run TMSINITD.
