The EXTEND control statement specifies the new TMC volume ranges to be formatted or the additional number of DSNB records to be added. Multiple EXTEND control statements may be used. This control statement is required. The format for the EXTEND control statement is:
EXTEND TMC=(range1,range2,...,rangen),DSNB=n
Control Statement Definition
Identifies the control statement. EXTEND can begin in any position and must be followed by a space.
Represents the number of DSNBs to be added to the current TMC. The expression DSNB=n must not be split across two control statements. While more than one occurrence of DSNB=n is allowed, the last occurrence is the one TMSFORMT retains.
Specifies that the new ranges indicated by range1 through rangen are to be added to the current TMC. The format of rangen is the 1- to 7-digit, low-limit internal volume serial number followed by the 1- to 7-digit, high-limit internal volume serial number. Old ranges must not be specified.
EXTEND TMC=(1000-9999,25000-49999,...,100000-103000)
The expression TMC=(rangen) must not be split across two control statements. If more ranges are required than can fit on one control statement, specify additional EXTEND control statements. The total number of nonconsecutive ranges (previously existing ranges and new ranges) cannot exceed 52. Previous and new ranges that are internally consecutive are consolidated into one range.
