A flat file in the CA 1 Retention Record format is created for use with a report writer in a subsequent step such as CA Earl. The RDRDSMSG field contains TMSEXPDT processing information such as the file sequence number of the data set with the highest expiration date and lets you know whether a matching RDS rule was found.
