TMSCKDTM Utility—Verify Packed Fields in the TMC

Use the TMSCKDTM to verify that packed decimal fields in the TMC, such as date and time, are valid.

This utility should be run whenever an S0C7 occurs due to a bad date or time field, or an invalid date is displayed by other CA 1 utilities or online interfaces. An invalid date is displayed as ten asterisks (**********) on a batch report or by an online interface.

Once a TMC record with an invalid date or time is identified, it is important to determine how the TMC was updated with the bad value. TMSAUDIT can be run to list updates that occurred for the Volume or DSNB record with the bad date or time field (see TMSAUDIT in the this guide). Once the source of the bad update is found, the incorrect update by the interface should be corrected.

CA 1 can be active or batch active.
