Use the L0C6INIT utility to initialize and reinitialize CA 1.
L0C6INIT uses the facilities from CAIRIM. It is responsible for installing the CA 1 SVC, building the TMS subsystem, initializing the WTO subsystem interface, loading realtime modules to common storage if not found in the link pack area, installing the CA 1 OSI to track tape activity, locating and anchoring CA 1 realtime user exits, and installing the SMF interface to capture tape read and write errors.
L0C6INIT is a required phase of the CA 1 initialization process. At system startup time, the CAIRIM procedure invokes the L0C6INIT module when the control statements are used as input to the PARMLIB DD of CAIRIM.
Important! This program should be used only by systems programmers responsible for maintaining CA 1.
CA 1 can be active, batch active, or inactive to run L0C6INIT.
Note: If you have other vendor products which modify the operating system's data management modules, and these modified versions MLPAd, you must include the CAG8LIB2 DD in the CAIRIM procedure and the TMSINIT procedure. Any MLPA data set must be specified in the CAG8LIB2 DD which contains these modifications. If you have a data set name for the contents of the LPA other than SYS1.LPALIB, you must put that data set name in the CAG8LIB1 DD and include the DD in the CAIRIM procedure as well as the TMSINIT procedure. Ensure that both the CAIRIM procedure (CAS9) and the TMSINIT procedure have security access (READ) to the libraries containing the operating system's data management modules. If all of the open/close routines are not copied to the modified library, then you must have SYS1.LPALIB in the concatenation with CAG8LIB1.
