The TMC and Audit data sets are dynamically allocated for every batch program that requires the same TMC or Audit that is being used by realtime processing. A check is included to ensure that the TMC or Audit data sets have not been moved or recataloged since CA 1 became active. For these programs, a DD statement of TMC or AUDIT is not allowed.
For those programs that do not require an active TMC, it is dynamically allocated if a TMC DD statement is not part of the JCL. However, if a TMC DD statement is present in the JCL, that statement is used. For a few programs (TMSFORMT, for example) a TMC DD statement is still required.
