About Auxiliary Disposition

The Auxiliary Disposition feature performs several functions which streamline special tape handling requests and eliminate most of the associated paperwork. This feature does the following:

• Communicates post-processing requests directly to the console operator or tape librarian.
• Generates external label requests for cartridges or reels.
• Automatically mark tapes out-of-area.
• Uncatalogs data set name entries from the system catalog.
