On an occasional basis (once a week or once a month) it is a good idea to synchronize the BTLS and the Tape Management Catalog. This can be done by creating an inventory (LIBOUT DD) of all tapes in the BTLS. This list can then be read as input (CTSINPUT DD) by the new IDCLI04 exit and have the category changed to either PRIVATE, SCRTCH or ERROR.
