The CA 1® Tape Management Auxiliary Disposition feature enables tape users to selectively generate external label requests by adding the appropriate DD and control statements to the JCL which reads or writes the data sets during real-time processing.
Use the TMSDISP batch program to generate label requests after processing in a similar manner for cataloged data sets. The Auxiliary Disposition feature can also issue WTO messages to communicate post-processing requests.
