Configuration Process

You must complete the installation instructions provided in the CA Cloud Storage for System z, z/OS Installation Guide before you can perform the configuration in this guide.

The overall configuration process is as follows:

Perform various critical tasks documented in "System Setup" to define CA Vtape to the operating system, the tape management system, and other third party software.
Review “ISPF Customization Panels” and use the ISPF customization panels to create JCL to define the control data sets and to create the configuration member SUTPARMS.
Follow the instructions in "Product Verification" to customize the parmlib, start the product, and verify the product’s operation.
Review and follow the instructions in "Operational Considerations" to set up utility JCL to backup the control data sets, adjust the parmlib settings, and adjust other software to better handle your environment and needs.
