Standard product support policies and procedures apply to all product functionality that is part of a shipped CA product and covered in the CA product documentation. The standard product features used by Best Practices are thus fully supported. Best Practice tools, customizations and configurations that are not covered in the product documentation are supported on a best effort basis (without any formal support service level).
The information in the Implementation Best Practices can be used to customize or modify the installation in a way that may not have been certified as part of a release cycle in CA's QA labs.  You should be aware that problem resolution for issues reported against modified environments may be more difficult and time consuming than issues that are reported against a standard installation or configuration.
