   The toleration PTF LU04639 is required.                                  
   This APAR alters the support of the Cobol copybooks as follows:          
   The POINTER-32 item is accepted and handled like the POINTER item.       
   The PICTURE U phrase is rejected with an error message.                  
   The DYNAMIC LENGTH clause is rejected with an error message.             
   The UNBOUNDED KEY                                                        
  
   The COBOL 6.4 syntax support has the following exceptions:               
   The use of the COPY REPLACING with LEADING or TRAILING keywords.         
   The use of the VOLATILE keyword in data descriptors.                     
   UTF-8 data definitions.                                                  
   AMODE 64 is not supported; the POINTER fields are always 4 bytes.

   z/OS maintenance UA95552 for z/OS 2.1, UA95553 for z/OS 2.2 and          
   UA95551 for z/OS 2.3 introduced an incompatibility. CAWABATC fails       
   with return code 20. The JES log shows messages CEE0374C and IEA995I     
   with SYSTEM COMPLETION CODE=0C4.                                         
  
   UPDATE: The introduced incompatibility is also part of z/OS 2.4 base.
