Schedule Reports

Report generation requires system resources; therefore, the schedule for generating the reports should be carefully considered and aligned with the organizational requirements.

Recommendation: We recommend the following report generation frequency:

• "Application" (Malware) reports are generated nightly.
• "Domain" (Managed node) reports are generated weekly or ad-hoc.

Ad-hoc reporting may be preferred for the Managed Node reports as it relies on the information available from the Windows Network Neighborhood to identify active nodes. The "Unmanaged" nodes are those that appear in the Windows Network Neighborhood that are not assigned to a branch in the Organization Tree.

Ad-hoc reports can be triggered using the following command lines:

• "Application" (Malware) reports - %INOCULAN%\eAVreprt.exe -r
• "Domain" (Managed node) reports - %INOCULAN%\eAVreprt.exe -d

To schedule reports

1. Log in to the CA TM Console.
2. Click the Reports tab.
3. Schedule a date and time to start running the reports based on how often scans are run.
4. When the reports are generated, click on the Reports tab and expand the Reports folder, or view the Top 10 viruses and pests on the Dashboard.
