Install Silently on Windows

To perform a silent installation on Windows, follow these steps:

  1. Configure the installation configuration file, inoc6.icf, as necessary for your environment.

    To do so, select File, Create ICF File from the Remote Install Utility or edit the inoc6.icf file manually. The file is located on your installation media at:

  2. Open a Command Prompt window and go to the appropriate directory listed in the previous step.
  3. Enter the following command:
    install /s [INO_ICFFILE=full_path_to_ICF_file]
    

    The silent installation occurs according to the specifications in your ICF file.

    Note: If you do not specify the full path to your ICF file, the installation program uses the default inoc6.icf file, which is also located in the same directory.

The installation program, install.exe, uses other MSI parameters, which are located the initialization file, install.ini. This file is located in the same directory on your installation media.
