Remote Install Target Machine Connection Fails with Error 1722

Symptom:

The Remote Installation utility cannot install the software to a target machine and returns a Windows error code 1722.

Solution:

Do one of the following:

• If the target machine name is a host name, the Remote Installation utility must be able to resolve the target machine's host name using NetBIOS and DNS name resolution.
• If the target machine name is a fully-qualified domain name (FQDN), the s Remote Installation utility must be able to resolve the target machine's FQDN using DNS name resolution.
• Use the IP address of the target machine instead of a host name or FQDN.
