Error 3011

Failed to open file [file name], [NetWare error code]

Reason:

This error message is caused by one of the following:

Action:

For each of the causes, check the following:

  1. Make sure the file exists.
  2. Check to see that the file isn't locked by someone else. Flag the file shareable. From the Backup Manager Backup Options screen, check the Open File Method and set it to Deny None.
  3. Use NWADMIN to check the assigned rights to this directory or file.
  4. Make sure the path to this file is correct.

Note: If you have several problems of this kind, you can change the backup schedule to run at a time when there is less chance of users accessing files.
