Failed to read from tape, [error code]

Reason:

BrightStor ARCserve Backup failed to read from tape. Possible causes for this problems are tape drive/tape malfunction.

Action:

For each of the causes, check the following:

1. Check the Tape Server Messages topic and follow the instructions for media or hardware errors. Check the Tape Related Errors Help topic.
2. If this error indicates a tape hardware error, see the media error Help topic.
3. A device on the SCSI bus has caused an unscheduled reset, which caused the tape drive to abort all operations.
