Error 5042
Receive time out (Sequence = sequence #)
Module:

Reason:
This error occurs due to one of the following:
- The workstation has been turned off.
- The connection is broken.
- A broadcast message is blocking access to the workstation.
- Some routing problem.
Action:
For each of the causes, check the following
- Has the workstation been shut off?
- From the server console screen configuration form, select "Yes" for "Use 512 kbyte packet to communicate with WS Agent:" This forces BrightStor ARCserve Backup to use a smaller packet size.
You can also load the DOSagent with a parameter that forces a 512-byte packet to be used.
Use the command: DOSAGENT !
- Press CTRL-ENTER at the workstation to clear the broadcast message.
- Check routers or other hardware problems.
