Reason:

This error message indicates that BrightStor ARCserve Backup could not open the message file due one or more of the following reasons:

• You do not have the appropriate rights.
• The file does not exist.
• The file is locked by another application.
• Some BrightStor ARCserve Backup system files are missing.

Action:

For each of the causes, check the following:

• If you do not have the appropriate rights, use NWADMIN to ensure that the proper rights have been assigned.
• Verify that the file exists and that the path is correct.
• If the file is locked by another application, have the application close the file.
• If BrightStor ARCserve Backup system files seem to be missing, reinstall BrightStor ARCserve Backup.
