Failed to connect to target service.

Module:

Reason:

This error typically occurs on a NetWare 5.1 server when you try to log in to the TSA as Supervisor.

Action:

Create a different user and run the backup job as that user. To do so, perform the following procedure:

1. Log in as Admin or equivalent.
2. From Windows, run NWADMIN.
3. Find the OU (Organizational Unit) containing the BrightStor ARCserve Backup server.

   Note: Bindery context must be set for the OU that contains the BrightStor ARCserve Backup server.

4. Create a new user and double-click this user.
5. Set the Security Equivalence for this new user as equal to Admin.
6. Set the rights for the directories and files you want to service to Admin.
7. Log in to the server as the new user under Bindery Emulation (Login [new username] /b).
8. Submit a new backup job, including NDS, as the new user.
