Error 1034
Failed to access tape [tape name] sequence [number] id [number]

Reason:
This error indicates one or more of the following:
- There is no tape in the drive
- Media error
- Hardware error
- Bad connection
Action:
- Verify that there is a tape in the drive. If so, check the media error Help topic.
- Check the Tape Server Messages topic and follow the instructions for media or hardware errors. Check the Tape Related Errors Help topic.
- Clean the tape heads. Power the drive off and then on.
- Check cable connections and ensure that both ends of the SCSI bus are terminated
