Reason:
The drive indicated in the message reported an error while a read or a write operation was in progress. A read/write error can be caused by a faulty drive, a dirty drive, or a bad or dirty tape.
Action:
BrightStor ARCserve Backup runs a cleaning job to correct the error.
- If the cleaning job is successful, BrightStor ARCserve Backup generates Warning 6974.
- If the cleaning job failed, BrightStor ARCserve Backup generates Error 6973
